Asado Masterclass

Come and be an "asador" for the day. Join a group of meat and barbecue enthusiasts for an informal and relaxed day learning how to cook like an Argentine gaucho.

​

Get hands-on experience of cooking on an open fire and learn the skills necessary to cook a variety of different meats.

 

I will guide you through all the steps needed to build and manage the fire, prepare and attach the meat to the "cruz" (cross), and ensure that it cooks to perfection.

 

Throughout the day we will cook a variety of meats including:

  • A whole lamb

  • Ribs of beef

  • Beef steaks

We will also make some chimichurri and salmuera (a baste for the meat)

 

The day will start at about 9am and finish around 5.30pm (all times approximate). There will be coffee and pastries on arrival, with plenty of refreshments and food throughout the day.

 

Everything that we cook during the day needs to be eaten so you won't go home hungry!

 

You need to bring:

  • Warm clothes

  • Robust footwear

  • A collapsible chair (to sit and enjoy the fire at the end of the day)

  • A thick pair of gardening gloves would also be useful 

​

 

The cost for the day is £150 per person.
